It’s Scott with a small post here on the 13 Days of Yule.
In the Temple of Witchcraft, where I am a Lead Minister and Teacher, we can observe the 13 Days of Yule, much like the 12 Days of Christmas, these ritual observations orientate us in the tide of the season and the turning of the Wheel of the Year.
Most people today in America are familiar with the Twelve Days of Christmas carol, detailing twelve days of increasingly elaborate gifts, much to the delight of modern retail to encourage us to shop more for the holiday. It is an English folk song and possibly there is a correlation between each of the twelve days, and the upcoming twelve months, but if there was any deeper insight, or folk custom coded into the song, it appears to be lost or garbled to us today. The overall concept of the song, if not the direct inspiration, is based upon the twelve days of Yule.

Today is Mother’s Night, the start of the Yuletide observances.
While I don’t do any magick during the course of these journey’s, I do recommend downloading the meditations, and the contemplative card from the Tarot is helpful for me, I do like to pull a card, rune, or oracle. These draws from the oracles pull a piece of the mystery, that indicate the tide of energy in the coming months. In the temple each night after Mother’s Night, corresponds to a zodiacal sign, beginning with Capricorn.
